As if a trip to Boston wasn't enough fun and excitement. We had way more to come.

My parents also came for a visit and stayed for a week. We had so much fun with them and Ciella cried all the way home from the airport after dropping them off, she still didn't stop when we got home so we had to call G-ma to settle her down! We had so much fun with you guys and can't wait till you come again!
We had so many fun things planned.

First we went out to the Eternal Flame Water Fall and did the usual hike. Both my parents were excited to walk through the beautiful lush NY parks.
Ciella and Cadence had so much fun with my parents!

We also can't seem to stay away from Niagara Falls anytime we have visitors, so of course we went to the Canadian side. This time we did a few things we hadn't done before! First we did "Journey Behind the Falls." Its where you take an elevator and descend 150 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead to open portals that let you look behind the water fall. You can go one third of the way behind the falls, then on to the Upper and Lower Observation Decks at the foot of the Falls. It was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! So worth the money if you can't decided! You just can't imagine the power of all that water falling 13 stories down to where you stand!!!!! INCREDIBLE!!!! We didn't take pictures cuz we all forgot our camera's but the pictures just don't do the water fall and the portals behind the falls justice!
(picture from journey behind the falls website)
But if you look at the bottom right hand side of the picture that is where you stand to look at the falls on the observation decks. The little yellow dots you can see are people with yellow poncho's you get to help keep you dry! If you go back towards the falls that is where you can walk in and go 1/3 the way behind the falls!
It was awesome!!!!

Then we headed over to the "whirlpool" and went on the Niagara Whirlpool Areo Car that takes you over the rapids and over the famous and deadly whirlpool.

We didn't take this picture, but this is exactly what it looked like when we went. Also an amazing ride!!! The whirlpool is right where the rapids end, just about where the Areo car is. It was pretty amazing! We loved it!

Next time we are gonna talk my parents into riding the Maid of the Mist. The boat ride that takes you right up to the base of both of the Falls! You get pretty wet, so they weren't really excited about it!

We also took a weekend trip to Toronto! There is a lot to do and see there! Thanks Mom and Dad for everything! We had so much fun with you guys!

Here are some of the highlights of our trip!
The first night there we stayed in a really nice Hotel with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario!
Although its kinda blurry, I really liked this picture of my parents in downtown Toronto!

Us in downtown Toronto!

We took a Harbor tour that takes you all around the Harbor, but also let's you get off at the Toronto Islands. They were beautiful and the beach's were nice too. We opted not to go to the "Clothing Optional" beach! But it was a really hard decision.

The view of Toronto from the harbor tour!

The beach on the Island

The Pier on Lake Ontario

One of the Island's parks

The Island had a little amusement park for kids and my Dad took Ciella on the Carousel.

We walked all over the place and saw lots of old beautiful building and some really cool remodeled buildings.

Our favorite was the Art Gallery of Ontario, remodeled by Frank Gary. My wonderful parents kept Ciella so Garrett and I could walk through the Art Gallery, but mostly we wanted to check out the cool architecture! This was our favorite part!

The stair cases were unbelievable. Well the whole building is unbelievable really!
This is looking up the stair case!!! The wood work was beautiful!

We also went on the City Tour Bus that takes you all over the city and tells interesting facts about different locations! We weren't really sure we wanted to do it, but were so happy we did. We really enjoyed the tour! Here we are looking really excited! But we really did enjoy the tour! The kids always fell asleep the minute we sat down, which made for a nice tour!

In honor of some festival going on, there was a big red ball inflated each day in different parts of the city. It was fun to find it each day! Here's my Dad and Ciella right up next to it!

We also enjoyed all the things that come along with tourist's in a big city, like, hot dog stands, soft serve ice cream from an ice cream man, and all the interesting people looking for spare change!

The kids had so much fun running around and playing!

Here is Ciella and my Mom by Ciella's favorite statue, an Angel holding a crown. Which we could see from our hotel room the second night.

Cadence's favorite thing was all the ice cream
We also liked to look at the Royal Ontario Museum, remodeled by Daniel Libeskind.
We had a blast with my parents and can't wait till they come again. Hopefully we won't have to wait 6 months this time!
.
And whats that I hear you asking, Isn't that enough vacations? Nope, not for us! We leave for Chicago in the morning. Yikes!!! Be prepared for more fun and a few birthday celebrations. Ciella turns 3 while we are in Chicago and Cadence turns 1 the day after we get back!

Mel,
So sad that your fam isn't coming out this summer. I love our little updates together. Seems like you are having a lot of fun out there. Garret's mom was telling me that Cadence is a tiny little walking baby. Emmitt is tiny with absolutely no desire. Miss you guys. Your girls are beautiful.
